I saw this article about lead paint on CNN and found it very disturbing, simply because I never, ever would have thought there could be any danger in allowing my son to handle unplugged Christmas lights.

So despite my temptations to go on a serious rant against the FDA, I will offer this small piece of seemingly obvious advice:

Always have your children wash their hands before eating.

I know. They're supposed to do that anyway. But this isnt about whether they were playing outside and their hands are dirty, this is about protecting them from the large number of toxic and carcinogenic things that the government allows people to sell to you.
